【英語セミナー】ハロウィンパーティー
アメリカ・イギリス・オーストラリア出身のネイティブ教師（9名）自己紹介
生徒、一人ひとり英語で説明しました。
10月5日（土）、今年度新設した「国際教育部」の主導で、県内のネイティブスピーカーの先生方（9名）をお招きし、英語セミナーとして「ハロウィン」を行いました。国際教育部は、国際交流を推進するための部署として設置され、今回の英語セミナーの計画と実施。オーストラリア・ブリスベン市にある2つの姉妹校、ACGSとBGGSとの短期交換留学の実施。語学研修として実施している韓国のパジュ英語村での英語研修とソウル市にある誠庵国際貿易学校との国際交流。中国の姉妹校・成都外国語学校との国際交流。日中交流協会の長期招へい事業による中国人留学生の受け入れ。その他、諸外国の学校からの学校訪問や海外の学校とのオンライン交流などを担当しています。
今回の英語セミナーには、生徒は自由参加ですが、合計150名の生徒の参加があり、3グループに時間を分けて実施しました。
On Saturday, October 5th, 9 native speakers residing in Mie prefecture convened at Mie High School to hold a Halloween-themed English Seminar.
The school’s International Education Department, which planned and orchestrated the event, was established recently with the aim of promoting international exchange. The department has implemented short-term exchange programs with two sister schools in Brisbane, as well as an international exchange with Sonamu International Trade School of Seoul, South Korea, which involved an “English Camp”, conducted in Paju English Village of Seoul. In addition, we have welcomed Chinese foreign exchange students as part of a long-term Japan-China international exchange program with our sister school, Chengdu Foreign Language School, in China. Other responsibilities of the department include carrying out online exchanges with schools abroad and hosting visits from schools abroad.
Although the seminar was optional for students, a total of 150 students participated and were divided into three groups.

悪魔の仮装の先生もいました
ハロウィンは、いまでは日本でも盛んになっており、子供たちが精霊やお化けに仮装してお菓子を貰ったり、ホラーを楽しんだりするイベントとして認識されています。起源は、ジャガイモ飢饉でアメリカ合衆国に渡ったアイルランド人移民によりアメリカで定着し、今では世界各地に広がっているお祭りです
Halloween, which is now a popular event in Japan, is an event where children dress up as spirits and ghosts, receive sweets and enjoy horror stories. The festival originated in the USA, where it was established by Irish immigrants who came to the United States during the potato famine, and has now spread to other parts of the world!
英語ゲームで楽しみました
「Trick or Treat」と言ってお菓子をもらいました
英語セミナーは、all Englishで行い、本校在籍のネイティブ教員3名と学外のネイティブ教員6名の合計9名とが担当し、生徒を小グループに分けて、ゲームや会話、英語でのクイズ大会で正解を競わせる体験型の英語研修を実施しました。ネイティブ教員達も、ハロウィンを盛り上げるため、全員仮装で参加いただきました。そして生徒の何人かも仮装や魔女の衣装を身に付けて参加し、今日一日、異文化のお祭りを英語のみで楽しみました。
※「Trick or Treat」とは ハロウィンで使われる決まり文句で、子供たちが近所の家々を仮装して回り「trick or treat（お菓子をくれなければいたずらするぞ）」と言います。そして、お菓子をもらう西洋の伝統行事
The English seminar was run by 9 native speakers, 3 of whom were three native English teachers from Mie High school and others being English teachers from outside the school. All of the native teachers dressed up in costume to make the event more exciting and some of the students even dressed up to enjoy the day's cross-cultural festivities. The event was conducted in English only and the students seemed to enjoy it.
The Western tradition of Halloween involves going around one’s neighbors’ houses in costume, while saying “Trick Or Treat” in order to receive candy.
