A Valuable Experience at ACGS and BGGS
Australia Short-Term Exchange Program – Part 2 Report

From July 28 to August 4, a group of students from Mie High School visited two of our sister schools in Brisbane, Australia: the boys¡Ç school Anglican Church Grammar School (ACGS) and the girls¡Ç school Brisbane Girls Grammar School (BGGS). Both schools have a long and close relationship with us, and we were warmly welcomed again this year.

At each school, students were invited to special welcome ceremonies and school assemblies. Colorful posters with messages of welcome were also displayed around the campuses, creating a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Our students joined regular classes with their buddies and actively tried to communicate in English throughout the week.

During their homestays, students were treated like real members of the family. They enjoyed activities like sightseeing, local events, and even parties with the host families and their friends. Through daily life, the students not only improved their English but also learned a lot about Australian culture and developed their independence.

Many students shared their thoughts afterward:

¡ÈEvery day was new and exciting—it went by so fast!¡É
¡ÈMy host family was so kind. I wish I could have stayed longer.¡É

This short-term exchange program gave our students a truly unforgettable experience, helping them grow both personally and globally.

Mie High School will continue to value international exchange as an important part of our students¡Ç education.
